An intrepid group of parents and children headed to Perth on Friday to take part in the opening concert for Perth International Arts Festival. We had to be in Perth for rehearsals at 4pm and spent 3 hours at Langley Park on Friday going through our paces.
On Saturday night we headed back, complete with our HOME lanterns that had been constructed during an art project late in 2015. The students and accompanying teachers (Mrs Kealy and Mrs Bradley) were part of the grand finale lantern procession where we walked through the crowd, with lanterns aloft, as Tim Minchin sang.
Although there was a lot of time sitting around waiting for our turn. it was certainly worth it!
Congratulations to our students, who throughout the rehearsal and performance displayed the exemplary behaviour and manners that just comes naturally for Geographe students.
