As you would have already read in our School Newsletter, we are holding the inaugural Geographe Beach Carnival, tomorrow Friday 27th November 2015 at the King St (Yacht Club) beach.
The purpose of this carnival is to celebrate with the students a fantastic year with regards to the student’s positive behaviour towards our school expectations.
All students from Years 1 – 6, with good standing (no reflection sheet in the last 5 days) are invited to attend. This is a no cost event. Those who do not have good standing, or have not returned the permission form, will remain at school.
Below is an outline of the program and information families need to know.
Years 1 – 3 students will be departing from school between 9am and 9.15am and returning between 12.20 and 12.35pm.
Years 4 – 6 students will departing from school between 11.45am and 12.05pm and returning between 2.15pm and 2.30pm.
Morning Tea and Lunch:
Students in Years 1-3 will need to take their morning tea and lunch to the beach. Students ordering the special event canteen menu will have their lunch delivered to the beach to eat there.
Students in Years 4 – 6 will eat morning tea and lunch at school prior to departure. These students will have an early lunch in order to be ready to depart by 12.20pm. These students can also order from the special event canteen menu.
What to bring:
Geographe Primary is a Sun Smart school. Can parents and caregivers please ensure that students have a rashy or a spare top to wear over bathers and they must have a hat and a towel. Students are also encouraged to bring sunscreen and will need a water bottle. Students have permission to wear thongs or sandals to school on this day.
Students in Years 1-3 will need to bring a change of clothes for the afternoon to wear when they return to school. They have permission to not wear school uniform on the day.
Students in Years 4- 6 will also need to bring a change of clothes for the end of the day but have permission to not wear uniform in the morning (can already be dressed in their bathers).
Parents are welcome to attend. If you wish to take your child home from the carnival, they can be signed out at the beach.
